Detailed ability breakdowns

These signature abilities now fire in battle with their own damage and cooldowns — a bigger skill or ultimate hits harder, and the two healers restore HP instead of striking. Still on the way here on the site: the full per-ability breakdown (exact multipliers and effects), plus deeper mechanics like status effects and multi-target hits.

Lore

The Enforcer came up through the Lantern Watch — the imperial city patrol that walks the wharf wards from the second bell to the fourth. He took the post at twenty after his older brother, a Watch sergeant, was killed during the bread-riot of the cold spring. The brother's truncheon hangs from his belt today, refitted with a heavier brass cap; he has carried it for twelve years and into three reassignments, and he has never once issued it as a weapon to any other recruit.

His tactical reputation is built on patience. He treats every confrontation as a problem with a quieter solution, and the men who serve under him learn to read the shoulder set he uses to stand down a brawl before he steps into it. When that fails, he is exactingly violent — the Riot Shield drill the Watch teaches is a four-second cadence, but his runs at three, and the Iron Justice doctrine he rehearses with his squad is openly modeled on a tribal-line breaker the empire captured at the Hedra Pass. He does not pretend he learned the move from a book. The men he taught it to find this either reassuring or unbearable, and there is no third reaction.

Where he sits in the present war is harder to read. The Lantern Watch officially reports to the Solstice Magistrate's office, but he has been seconded twice in the last season to operations the Magistrate did not authorize and was not informed of after the fact. He files his reports the same way he always has — short, dated, signed in his actual name — and he has not asked who reads them. A minor noble in Vesper district is paying unusual attention to him; whether that means a promotion, a reassignment to the front, or a knife under a wharf-bell is something the Enforcer expects to learn the way he learns most things, after the fact and without surprise.
